Why changing the font is not enough
Selecting Kruti Dev text in Word and choosing Mangal does not convert it. Kruti Dev stores English keys, so Mangal shows those keys: /kU;okn instead of धन्यवाद. The text itself has to be converted to Unicode first. After that, Mangal shows it as Hindi.
Get the text into Mangal in Word
- In Word, select the Kruti Dev text and copy it (Ctrl+C).
- Paste it in the first box here. The Unicode Hindi appears at once.
- Press Copy, go back to Word and paste (Ctrl+V).
- Select the pasted text and choose Mangal in the font list. Any Unicode Hindi font works the same way.
