Privacy

Your text stays on your device. The conversion runs inside your browser. Text you type, paste or open is never sent to us or anyone else.

How we know: our automated test (Chromium, run on our own test server) opens every converter page, types text, opens a .txt file, copies and saves the result, while logging every network request the page makes. No request carried any part of the text, and no request went anywhere except this site and the page counter below. We run this test before every release.

Saved on your device

The site keeps at most one setting in your browser's local storage: whether you closed the language suggestion. It never stores your text. Copy puts the result on your clipboard only when you press it. Clearing your browser data removes the setting.

Page counts without cookies

To see which converters people use, we count visits with Umami, an open-source analytics tool. It runs on analytics.answermend.com, a separate site run by the same owner as BhashaKit. It sets no cookies.

When a page loads, your browser sends Umami one small request with the page address (without any query string or # part), the page title, the site that linked you here (if any), your screen size and browser language. When you press Copy or Save, Umami gets one short event naming the converter page. It carries none of your text.

From those requests, Umami works out your browser, operating system, device type and approximate location (country, region and city). Your IP address is used for that lookup and is not stored. Visits are grouped by an anonymous ID that changes regularly, so visits from before and after a change can't be linked. We don't sell or share the counts.

No cookies

We do not set cookies. There are no ads on BhashaKit today; if that changes, this page will say so first.

Server logs

Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, page, browser) for security.
